Pat Algird joined BAMSI in 1995 as a clinician working with children, adults, and families at Plymouth Counseling Center.  Ms. Algird continued her career at BAMSI as a clinical director for outpatient services and was promoted to Vice President of Counseling and Community Resources in 2006.  Since that time, she has developed a strong team of clinicians to work with over 1000 individuals served by BAMSI in Southeastern Mass.  Ms. Algird also oversees BAMSI’s counseling services; Elderly Services division; and Public Health division, which includes HIV services, WIC, and Early Intervention.

Ms. Algird is a member of the National Association of Social Workers and South Shore Coalition of Independent Therapists.

Ms. Algird graduated from Suffolk University and began her career in human services in 1980.  At that time, she worked in the residential division for Community Counseling Center and South Shore Arc as a residential director.  While working at South Shore Arc, Ms. Algird received her Master’s Degree in Social Work from Boston University School of Social Work, then worked to secure her License in Social Work.
