BAMSI operates a number of state-of-the-art residential homes for adults who have sustained an acquired or traumatic brain injury.
BAMSI’s residential homes for selected adults who have sustained a brain injury become home for four to five persons served. Each person has his or her own room which they can decorate in their own style and favorite colors. Common spaces including the bathrooms, kitchen, and living rooms are shared with housemates. These homes are eloquently decorated while keeping in mind the needs of the residents.
The dedicated staff members provide support in the areas including, but not limited to, personal care, personal finance, and transportation. Staff members engage the residents in a variety of stimulating, therapeutic activities to build cognitive, physical, and social skills. Persons served are encouraged to take pride in where they live and truly make their residence a home. Persons served are also encouraged to become active members of their communities.
A number of BAMSI residential homes offer 24-hour Licensed Practical Nurses who assist with medication administration, medical treatments, medical appointments, and other care for individuals who are more medically involved. All homes have a Registered Nurse available for consultation.More Brain Injury Services Programs
