The Family Support Center provides service navigation for families of children and adults with developmental disabilities.
The Family Support Center offers information, support, advocacy and activities for children and adults living with developmental disabilities and their families. This comprehensive service links families with similar needs and concerns, identify individualized needs, brainstorm service options while working to connect persons served to appropriate resources.
Our goal is to empower children and adults living with developmental disabilities and their families. Our staff includes parents with lived experience including a Family Support Specialist, Intensive Family Flexible Support Coordinators, Family Partners and a board certified Child Psychiatrist. In addition to use of the center, families may also benefit from:
Intensive Flexible Family Support Services (IFFS)
IFFS provides a short-term, intensive support and stabilization services for children at risk for out-of-home placement.
Medically Complex Program Services (MCP)
The MCP engages with children and young adults who are experiencing significant cognitive, physical, and intensive health care needs while living at home. MCP offers individually designed stabilization services to support and sustain living at home and in the community.
The Family Support Center is a program of BAMSI’s Child, Family and Community Services Division with a philosophy of care that includes the youth and family voice and choice in every stage of the planning process. Services are individualized, strengths-based and outcome-driven.

The Family Support Center operates through both an open and closed referral process, which enables families to walk-in to the Center for support or they may explore services based on a Department of Developmental Services (DDS) referral.
