SENIOR CITIZEN RECEPTION
	The Dorn-Davies Senior Center sponsored the 12th Annual Senior Citizen Reception on Tuesday, June 15th at the Massasoit Conference Center.
Distinguished speakers, including Mayor Linda Balzotti, Plymouth County District Attorney Timothy Cruz, and Attorney Richard Lawton, addressed the audience on a variety of issues particular to the seniors. The Elderly Advocate Appreciation Award was presented to Representative Christine Canavan for her outstanding work with the elderly community. The 500 senior citizens who attended the event benefited from handouts and information from vendors. The day also included a luncheon and two musical performance, which had the guests dancing and singing!

METRO SOUTH ACADEMY
	Metro South Academy held its annual Commencement Ceremony on Tuesday, June 1, 2010. Welcoming remarks were given by BAMSI Chief
Operations Officer, Vanessa Tierney and Joe Marchisio from the Brockton Public Schools was the keynote speaker. Anthony Simonelli, Chief Executive Officer of BAMSI conferred the high school diplomas on the six graduates who were greeted with a warm applause by over 60 parents and friends who attended the ceremony.

2009 Children's Advocacy Center Charity Open

The Plymouth County District Attorney’s Office and BAMSI (Brockton Area Multi-Services, Inc.) announce the 4th Annual Charity Open to benefit the Children’s Advocacy Center of Plymouth County to be held on Monday, August 24, 2009 at the spectacular shoreline Ocean Course at The Club at New Seabury in Mashpee. The tournament begins with an 11:00 a.m. shotgun start. The all day event includes a full round of golf, lunch, dinner, a live auction, and golf award presentations. Individual and foursome golf opportunities are available for the outing as well as corporate, tee and green sponsors, and program book advertisements. The tournament sells out early and the deadline for registration is Monday, August 3, 2009. For complete details, call Marilyn Marrese at (508) 580-8700 Ext. 111.

The Children’s Advocacy Center offers services and treatment in Plymouth County for children between the ages of 3 and 18 who are victims of sexual abuse, physical abuse, or severe neglect, as well as their families. On average, 450 cases are handled annually by the District Attorney’s Office. Services include diagnostic and medical evaluations, forensic interviewing, advocacy, crisis intervention, and counseling referrals. The Center is located in a large Victorian style home in Brockton and provides a warm and welcoming setting for the children. As a result, children receive services at one location in a timely fashion, and are made to feel safe as they start on the road to healing. “We are pleased to work with Plymouth County District Attorney Tim Cruz to meet the needs of these special children within our county. Through this unique partnership with the District Attorney’s Office, the Advocacy Center is a resource for all the children of Plymouth County who are victims of violence,” stated BAMSI CEO, Anthony Simonelli.
