Therapeutic MentoringChildren, Youth, and Family Services
Therapeutic Mentoring offers structured, one-to-one, strength-based support services between a Therapeutic Mentor and a youth with the purpose of enhancing the youth’s life and social and communication skills. Unlike traditional mentoring programs, Therapeutic Mentoring requires that each mentor operate under the guidance and supervision of a clinician. Services are provided in any setting where the youth resides, or in a community setting, such as school, child-care center, respite setting, or other culturally and linguistically appropriate community setting.
Therapeutic Mentoring may be accessed through the Department of Mental Health (DMH), the Department of Child and Family Services (DCF), the Community Service Agency (CSA), or through MassHealth. For more information about Therapeutic Mentoring, call 508-584-0074, ext. 101.
