Candidates for free Early Intervention services include:
- Children who have not reached age appropriate milestones in one or more areas of development
- Children who have been diagnosed with a specific condition that may result in a developmental delay
- Children with a medical or social history that might place the child at risk for developmental delay
Individualized services support parents and caregivers as well as the child. When a child enters Early Intervention, a highly skilled team including a Developmental Specialist, Physical Therapist, Speech and Language Pathologist, Child Life Specialist, Occupational Therapist, Social Worker, Nurse, and other specialty service providers are assigned to design a plan accounting for all aspects of the child’s development.
BAMSI Early Intervention is open to children who are residents of Abington, Avon, Bridgewater, Brockton, East Bridgewater, Easton, Holbrook, Rockland, Stoughton, West Bridgewater, or Whitman.
Early Childhood
At 3 years of age, children still struggling with developmental milestones can transition to BAMSI’s Early Childhood program. Like Early Intervention, Early Childhood helps kids learn, grow, and succeed by providing a variety of wraparound supports and services.
