HIV/AIDS Services

Prevention, support, and care

“The HIV Case Management Team was my family. They were a place where I could go and I could talk about things that were bothering me, and I could cry about things that were bothering me. They accepted me for who I was.”

HIV, the virus that causes AIDS, remains a public health crisis. As the opioid epidemic continues to ravage communities, the disease has made a vicious comeback through needle-sharings and other risky behaviors.

BAMSI’s Case Management program is founded on the understanding that people living with HIV/AIDS need care, compassion, and peer support from people who know what it is like to live with a life-altering diagnosis. Case Managers do more than just coordinate care and basic services. They empower the people they work with to live rich and meaningful lives.

Located in Brockton, HIV/AIDS Case Management serves clients in Brockton, Stoughton, Easton, Holbrook, Abington, Rockland, Bridgewater, East Bridgewater, and Randolph.

Preventing the spread of HIV and AIDS is critical. BAMSI provides free harm-reduction supplies such as clean replacement syringes, condoms, and other materials to reduce the risk of sexual transmission. Visitors are encouraged to take what they need to stay safe and come back as often as necessary. BAMSI’s trained staff also offer free HIV/HCV/STI testing, counseling, and treatment referral.
