BAMSI Welcomes New Board Member: Sarah Cook
BROCKTON, MA (August 18, 2025) – BAMSI, a leading non-profit human services organization is pleased to announce the appointment of Sarah Cook to its Board of Directors. Cook bring an extensive background in benefits, the insurance industry, regulatory benefit compliance, compensation and people management that will be invaluable to BAMSI’s mission.
“I am very excited to join the Board of Directors for BAMSI. As a person living with multiple disabilities and a professional who deals with employee benefits and disability daily in my work, I feel from a deeply personal level that BAMSI’s support services are crucial for the people and community they serve,” said Cook.
“To be able to contribute my compliance and human resources knowledge and perspective to the Board and to help support the organization truly feels like a blessing.”
Currently serving as the Compensation and Benefits Director for Avalere Health, Cook has 14 years of experience in employee benefits and employer compliance along with varied human resources and health insurance industry experience including work in employee relations, employee life cycle management, talent acquisition and retention, learning and development, payroll and medical claims and billing.
In addition to BAMSI, her community service experience includes the Services to the Armed Forces division of the Red Cross, the Lupus Foundation and serving as co-leader of a domestic abuse support group.
