The Clubhouse is designed to facilitate recovery through individual assistance, group support, member involvement in daily operations, peer support, and advocacy.
The Clubhouse has been developed to assist individuals who are living with mental illness receive support with regards to their overall recovery journey in wellness. The Clubhouse mission is dedicated to supporting its members in their recovery to improve their quality of life and sense of self-worth. The Clubhouse activities promote health and wellness of all individuals served by following a person center philosophy and focusing on the persons’ served strengths. The service components of the Clubhouse follow a path towards recovery and are addressed in each member’s Action Plan.
Clubhouse members have the unique opportunity to receive a variety of comprehensive supports and programming. Clubhouse services are provided in both individual and group formats. Clubhouse members also provide invaluable and essential functions to BAMSI from serving on an Advisory Board, the Human Rights Committee, participating in program operations, providing guidance in decision making and ongoing support to current and new members. Individuals currently receiving services from the Department of Mental Health are eligible for Clubhouse membership. All others may apply for clubhouse membership to determine eligibility.
