Individual and Family Counseling

Clinic and community-based mental health services for individuals, couples and groups.

The Whitman Counseling Center, and its’ outreach locations provide a variety of therapeutic approaches when working with children, teens, adults and the elderly. Our services include:

  • Individual, child, family, group and couples therapy,
  • Psychopharmacology,
  • School counseling,
  • Community substance abuse intervention
  • Psychological evaluation and testing.
  • Open access appointments (available for crises or hospital step-down).

Our staff includes psychiatrists, psychologists, clinicians, social workers, a nurse practitioner and a board certified child psychiatrist who work at local schools, centers and identified community-based locations. Services may be provided in English, Spanish, Portuguese, and Haitian Creole.

Whitman Counseling Center is a program of BAMSI’s Child, Family and Community Services Division.

Whitman Counseling Center is licensed by the Department of Public Health and accredited by CARF International. Whitman Counseling Center is an open-referral system, accepting Harvard Pilgrim, Tufts, HMO Blue, Medicaid/Medicare and other insurance plans. Self-pay is also a payment option.
