BAMSI Welcomes New Board Member: Lauren Arbeiter

BROCKTON, MA (December 8, 2025) – BAMSI, a leading private nonprofit human service dedicated to helping individuals and families live more independent and healthful lives, is pleased to announce the addition of Lauren Arbeiter to its Board of Directors. Arbeiter brings a wealth of expertise in finance and accounting, along with a strong commitment to BAMSI’s work, which includes providing comprehensive support for those facing developmental and intellectual disabilities and mental and behavioral health challenges, to her new role.

“We are delighted to welcome Lauren to our Board of Directors,” said Peter Evers, President & CEO of BAMSI.

“Her financial expertise and passion for community service will be invaluable as we continue to grow and strengthen our support for individuals and families in need. Lauren’s leadership will undoubtedly help us achieve new levels of impact and success.”

For the past two years, Arbeiter has been an active participant in BAMSI’s governance as a member of the organization’s Audit Committee. Her experience overseeing financial processes and controls has provided valuable insights into the organization’s operations.

“I am excited to take on a broader role with BAMSI,” said Arbeiter, the Senior Director of Technical Accounting & Assistant Controller at Boston-based Alegeus Technologies.

“It amazes me how many diverse programs BAMSI offers and supports. I believe that active, hands-on board involvement is crucial to ensuring the organization continues to thrive and expand its impact.”

A Bentley graduate and licensed CPA, Arbeiter’s professional background includes leadership roles in accounting and finance at Alegeus Technologies, LLC, and Desktop Metal, Inc., where she has managed complex financial reporting, process improvements, and compliance activities. Her skills in building effective controls, streamlining operations, and managing large-scale projects will be invaluable as BAMSI navigates its ongoing growth.

Beyond her corporate achievements, Lauren has a passion for community service. She recently volunteered at BAMSI’s Brown Bag program and looks forward to increasing her engagement through board service.

“BAMSI’s work is vital in supporting vulnerable populations in our community,” Arbeiter said. “I am eager to leverage my skills in finance and governance to help BAMSI continue delivering its essential services and to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those we serve.”
