Brockton, MA [August 1, 2022]

BAMSI, a Brockton based nonprofit, is changing up its annual charity golf tournament. After 16 successful years at New Seabury in Mashpee, BAMSI will hold this year’s tournament on Monday, August 8 at TPC Boston in Norton, MA. “The new location offers a new and exciting challenge to our longtime supporters. It also brings the tournament closer to our service hub where we most want to build strong relationships with the community,” explains BAMSI CEO, Peter Evers.

Originally designed by Arnold Palmer in 2002, the course has since hosted 17 PGA TOUR events, including the Deutsche Bank Championship from 2003-2016 and more recently, the Dell Technologies Championship.  Leigh Lopes, in charge of this year’s tournament is looking forward to attracting new players to the tournament with the quality of the course. “It’s such a treat to be able to play on a course of this caliber, especially in a relaxed atmosphere of a charity tournament.”

In addition to the PGA level course, golfers will be treated to a lavish lunch, prizes, and a dinner and raw bar at the private club. Golfers will also have the opportunity to buy raffle tickets or bid on exciting items including a Patriots ticket package, a sunset cruise and cocktails, or a shopping spree at Jordan’s Furniture!

Sponsorship packages have sold out, but a few foursomes remain. Visit: https://bamsi.info/Golf or contact Leigh Lopes at leighlopes@bamsi.org

All proceeds from the event support BAMSI in the execution of its mission. Last year, BAMSI helped over 50,000 individuals and families in southeastern Massachusetts with developmental and intellectual disabilities, mental and behavioral health challenges, and substance use. Evers emphasizes, “This tournament allows BAMSI go the extra mile so we can support people in living more independent and healthful lives. Everyone who golfs is helping us help others.”
