BAMSI Welcomes New Board Chair

Dr. Edward Cabellon of Brockton, MA

Brockton, MA- On June 23, Ed Cabellon was elected Chair of the BAMSI Board of Directors during a special session. Dr. Cabellon joined the Board in 2018. He was voted in as Clerk of the BAMSI Board of Directors and Chair of the Board Affairs Committee in 2019. Under his leadership, Ed created an updated onboarding process for new board members, facilitated the recruitment of three new board members, and led the updates to the BAMSI by-laws. Dr. Cabellon is also a regular member of the BAMSI Falmouth Road Race team.

An active member of the community, Dr. Cabellon also serves on the boards of Coaching for Change and KodeConnect. He is also a co-founder of Brockton Beer Company, a new brewpub set to open to the public in October 2021.  Dr. Cabellon serves as Vice President of Enrollment Management at Curry College and has been a featured conference speaker.

BAMSI is a private 501c3 nonprofit human service organization that helps people live more independent and healthful lives by providing a comprehensive network of services addressing developmental and intellectual disabilities, mental illness, substance use, and social determinants of health such as housing and nutrition.
