BAMSI Welcomes New Chief Medical Officer

BROCKTON, MA (September 3, 2024) – BAMSI, a human service agency serving southeastern MA, welcomes Dr. Paul Bergeron, MD, MBA as its new Chief Medical Officer.

“Paul brings with him a wealth of experience, knowledge, and passion that I am confident will greatly benefit both our clients and the organization,” explains BAMSI CEO, Peter Evers.

Dr. Bergeron comes to BAMSI as a leader in the fields of accountable care, population health, and business development. He previously served as Chief Health and Wellness Officer at EnvisionWell, a technology-driven organization that aims to empower and inspire health and well-being for all individuals. Dr. Bergeron has also served as the Executive Medical Director at Steward Health Care Network in Massachusetts, Chief Medical Officer at Prospect Medical Holdings, Inc. in Rhode Island and Pennsylvania, and Regional Director of Medical Affairs at Genesis in New Hampshire. Dr. Bergeron has also served as a Staff Physician for many years at Vantage Healthcare of Massachusetts, an onsite primary care practice for residents of Assisted Living communities and Nursing Homes, post-hospital rehab patients in Skilled Nursing Facilities, and patients’ post-hospital at home.

Dr. Bergeron completed his medical training at The Robert Larner, M.D. College of Medicine at The University of Vermont. He completed his residency at the Stanford University School of Medicine in California. Dr. Bergeron also earned his Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree at the Isenberg School of Management, UMass Amherst. His MBA program had a focus on Business Administration, Management, and Operations with a specialization in Medical Management.

As a seasoned clinician, board-certified in Internal Medicine, Dr. Bergeron brings a wealth of knowledge to the fusion of medical expertise and business proficiency. He is dedicated to advancing healthcare delivery and business innovation, evolving BAMSI’s care model to better service its community.
