Plymouth COPE Center Receives $50,000 Grant from Opioid Settlement

Brockton Area Multi-Services Inc. (BAMSI) was honored to receive a $50,000 grant from Plymouth Health and Human Services (HHS) Commissioner Michelle Bratti and Assistant Commissioner Emily Wilson at the Plymouth Addiction Response and Improvement Strategies Effort (ARISE) Grantees Honors Ceremony on Thursday, June 6th. This ceremony commemorated the inaugural distribution of opioid settlement funding in the Town of Plymouth and gathered federal, state, and local dignitaries to recognize the impact of these grants on community-based addiction response efforts.

The ARISE initiative aims to strengthen Plymouth’s response to opioid addiction through strategic partnerships and targeted funding allocations. BAMSI, renowned for its dedication to enhancing addiction recovery services, was among the distinguished recipients honored at the event held at Mayflower Society House.

Commissioner Michelle Bratti emphasized the importance of community collaboration in addressing the opioid crisis: “The ARISE Grantees Honors Ceremony highlights our commitment to fostering partnerships that make a real difference in our community’s response to addiction. BAMSI’s work exemplifies the dedication and innovation needed to create meaningful change.”

Assistant Commissioner Emily Wilson added, “We are proud to support organizations like BAMSI that are at the forefront of addiction recovery efforts. Together, we are advancing comprehensive strategies that support recovery and promote well-being in Plymouth.”
