Trans Peer Counselor, BAMSI
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Brockton, MA [April 10, 2023] – BAMSI is proud to announce the appointment of Cesar A. Miranda and Virginia DePina to its Board of Directors.
Following Kaydn’s departure to pursue further education, BAMSI was in need of someone to fill the void in Brockton’s transgender community. Chase Garvey stepped up to the plate. The Belmont Street center includes a cozy reading nook, private meeting rooms, and HIV/HepC/STI testing facilities. Additionally, Chase has reinstated the transgender support group, which will now takes place virtually bi-weekly.
It’s always heartening to see community leaders show their support for important causes. TCORE’s Open House event on July 20th was a great success, with attendees coming together to celebrate the relaunch of its transgender peer navigation program. It was an honor to have Representative Michelle M. DuBois in attendance, showing her support for the transgender community and lending her voice to an important movement towards inclusivity and equality.
